From Kelly's Thoughts on Things Consumer Blog: Picture perfect. The Big Book of Weekend Reading is perfect for all levels, but most importantly, a beginner. The introduction includes a list of the materials that you will need to get started on any beading project and a picture of what the materials look like. That is one of the greatest features in this book, the pictures, so if you go into a craft store, you know exactly what to get. Also included with the materials, is a description of what the material is, its function, and how to use it.

Reviewed on MARCH 15, 2018 | Crafts and Diy Beading expert Power (Beading for the Absolute Beginner) curates a collection of projects using several popular techniques--weaving (both on- and off-loom), stringing, embroidery, and wirework. A quick overview of each of the techniques is followed by the designs, which range from beginner-friendly stringing projects that requires an hour or two to complete to a square-stitch belt that takes an estimated 50 hours. Each project includes step-by-step directions with color photographs, the estimated amount of time for completion, level of difficulty, and a list of materials and tools required. VERDICT There's plenty of variety in both style and technique here, making this an appropriate choice for crafters looking to sample different methods for beading.
