Frank Russell lives in Vermont where he owns and operates the Stonegate Woodcarving School with his wife Caroline. Considered by many to be one of the most versatile power carvers, he is a full time woodcarver, internationally known for his ability to carve birds, animals, and the human figure in the round. He has won many carving competitions and has judged at numerous shows. Frank is a contributor to Wood Carving Illustrated and has written several books.
