Author: Bob Gilsdorf
About the Author:
Bob Gilsdorf was born in Minnesota and lived there through the sixth grade, when he moved to Phoenix, Arixona, to thaw out, remaining there through college. After discovering the climate and location of Colorado Springs was comfortably between those two extremes, Bob settled there, married a beautiful lady, and started a family. Bob has five wonderful boys whose creativity and interests continually introduce him to new adventures. Bob's father, who was always building something, introduced woodworking to Bob at a young age. Bob spent many hours looking at the toy books his mom gave him trying to decide what to make. Over the years, he built wooden toys, dollhouses, and gifts for his brothers, sisters, parents, and cousins. Shop class in elementary school taught him the basics of drafting and woodworking, and he continued studying those subjects in high shcool and college. Bob now works as an engineering manager for a semiconductor company that makes microcontrollers and memory chips, but he continues to make toys, furniture, and other wooden projects as time permits.
