Local Woodcarving Club to Host Magazine Editor

East Berlin, PA: The East Berlin based Conewago Carving Club is holding a meeting on Sunday, August 15, 2004, 2 p.m., at the East Berlin Community Center, 405 N Ave., East Berlin, PA. The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about the art of woodcarving.

The guest speaker will be Cathy Hart, editor of Wood Carving Illustrated Magazine, the nation's leading how-to magazine for woodcarvers. Hart will provide a “behind the scenes” look at how a magazine is developed, created and printed with each issue. Hart will also provide the woodcarvers and visitors in attendance with information on how to submit articles for publication.

The Conewago Carving Club was founded in 1992 in East Berlin, PA , and has more than 100 members located throughout the region. The club holds an annual Woodcarving & Wildlife Art Show that draws many visitors from across the U.S. They also host several woodcarving seminars throughout the year, conducted by local and nationally known award winning carvers. The club meets on the third Sunday of each month at 2 p.m.
