About the Author: 
Cyndi Joslyn is a professional woodcarver who specializes in folk art figures, and a woodcarving instructor for over 14 years. Her passion for teaching led her to writing several books, including Carving Santas From Around the World, and Easy Woodcarving. In the 1990’s, Cyndi took part in a volunteer effort to produce one of the first hand-carved carousels since the 1930’s. Her outstanding talent earned her the distinction of being the only female head carver on the project. Cyndi’s articles have also appeared in several woodworking publications, including Wood Carving Illustrated.
