Charlie Self is an award-winning writer who has contributed a vast amount
of work to the woodworking field. He has won the 2002 Vaughan-Bushnell
Golden Hammer Award for his feature article in Woodworker's Journal, the
2001 Vaughan-Bushnell Award for best feature article for his work in Woodworker's
Journal, the 2000 Vaughan-Bushnell DIY best feature article award for
his work in Woodworker's Journal, and the 1994 annual Stanley Awards DIY
for books for Woodworker's Source Book, Betterway, 1993. As a senior writer
for Woodcraft Supply Corp., Charlie wrote over 40 articles and two dozen
newsletter introductions. Along with his article work at Woodcraft, he

work at Woodcraft, Charlie has written many books, including Cabinets
and Countertops, Woodworker's Guide To Selecting & Milling Wood, Creating
