David Adler is a third generation woodworker. His grandfather was a master cabinet and furniture maker; his mother did carpentry, and his uncle made grandfather clocks, toys, and organs for a hobby. Parquetry is David's hobby and passion. He has won several prestigious awards for his work in the past four years.

Kathy Wise has been sculpting dogs and animals professionally for more than 25 years. Much of her time is now spent in the woodshop and art studio working on new and exciting designs for intarsia artists to cut and enjoy. Lora Irish is an artist who runs an internet carving studio with her husband at www.carvingpatterns.com. Jim Sweet is the inventors of the Woodimals.

Still a resident of her much-loved Mobile, Alabama, Diana Thompson is an avid scroller and designer, focusing especially on compound cutting. She began scrolling several years ago when she experimented on her husband's old scroll saw while he was at work. Since then, she has written four books on compound designs, and her husband, Bob, has bought five scroll saws just for her. When she's not scrolling, Diana finds time to escape to the golf course. Tom Sevy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who relies on scrolling for relaxation. He has been scrolling for many years.

John Nelson is a retired industrial arts educator and the author of The Complete Guide to Making Wooden Clocks and Scroll Saw Workbook. He is considered an expert among scroll saw enthusiasts and is a frequent contributor to Scroll Saw Workshop. He lives in Dublin, New Hampshire.

Tom Zieg is the author of 300 Christian and Inspirational Patterns for Scroll Saw Woodworking. His work has appeared in Better Home and Gardens' WOOD magazine. He lives in Lincoln, Nebraska.

A former school teacher and librarian, Judy Peterson found her niche in life as a woodworker. She bought her first saw in 1990 and within the first six months was cutting and creating her own designs. She does business as Fan Tanimals, selling wood-crafted puzzles at art and craft shows around the country . A winner of many prizes, Judy was featured in the December 1997 issue of Wisconsin Trails. She has been published in Scroll Saw Workshop magazine. She teaches scroll sawing at Woodcraft in Madison, Wisconsin.

Vernon Brown has been an avid woodworker since his younger days. In 1994, he bought a scroll saw—a purchase that, in his words, "changed his life."
